Universities across Asia will jointly convene the Trinity International Congress (TRIICON 2026), an international academic congress that brings together educators, researchers, and institutions to examine the evolving partnership between human intelligence and artificial intelligence.

TRIICON 2026 will be held on May 8–9, 2026, with pre-congress activities scheduled between April 6 and May 7, 2026. The congress will run in a hybrid format, with online sessions streamed through the TRIICON official website and onsite sessions hosted at Trinity University of Asia, Philippines.

The congress carries the theme: “Beyond Disruptions: The Human-AI Synergy and the New Blueprint for Success in the Humanities, Health, Sciences, and Business.�

A Congress Shaped Through International Collaboration

TRIICON 2026 is co-convened by a network of higher education institutions across Asia. This collaboration reflects their shared commitment to academic exchange, research collaboration, and future-ready education.

Through this collaboration, TRIICON 2026 creates a shared academic space where institutions contribute speakers, research, reviewers, and academic leadership.

Shared Activities and Participation

As co-convenors, participating institutions may engage through:

• Hosting hybrid pre-congress seminars or workshops
• Contributing to plenary and parallel sessions
• Submitting paper and poster presentations from faculty, researchers, and students
• Supporting the congress through promotion, peer review, and committee participation

Purpose and Direction of TRIICON 2026

The congress responds to a global moment where artificial intelligence reshapes education, industry, and professional life. Rather than treating AI as a threat, TRIICON 2026 frames it as a partner that must be guided by human judgment, ethics, and creativity.

The congress advances three core aims aligned with UN Sustainable Development Goals framework:

• Promote future-ready thinking through critical thinking, creativity, and adaptability

• Encourage responsiveness to industry and professional realities
  (SDG 9: Industry, Innovation, and Infrastructure)
• Strengthen academic exchange and institutional collaboration

Tri-Focal Fields of Study

TRIICON 2026 is structured around three Tri-Focal Fields of Study, which serve as the academic backbone of the congress:

Humanities, Education, and Social Sciences
AI supports learning, mental health practice, and policy analysis. Human insight remains central as technology assists understanding, care, and social decision-making.

Business, Economics, and Information Systems
AI enables forecasting, systems intelligence, and security. Human leadership directs ethical use, strategic judgment, and accountability.

Sciences, Engineering, and Health
AI accelerates discovery through medical imaging, drug development, and predictive engineering models. Innovation advances with human welfare as the priority.

These fields form a unified academic framework that examines how technology reshapes roles while preserving essential human capacities.

About TRIICON

°Õ³ó±ðÌýÌýis a triennial academic congress hosted byÌýTrinity University of Asia. It serves as a platform for sustained academic dialogue, research exchange, and institutional partnership across disciplines and borders.

As Trinity University of Asia celebrates its 63^rd Founding Anniversary, the Media and Communication Department of the College of Arts, Sciences and Education on the 11^th year honors the media, communication, and the allied arts industries. Happening on February 18, 2026, Wednesday at 6:00 pm, attendees are expected to see performances from celebrities and meet them in person. The university theater opens at 5:30 pm and the program starts at 6:00 pm.

The Platinum Stallion National Media Awards 2026 is an annual award honoring the individuals and organizations shaping the future of Philippine media. From television and radio to film, digital platforms, and the allied arts, this year’s awardees exemplify exceptional talent, innovation, and dedication to their craft. Each recognition reflects the impact of work and the passion that drives the media industry as well as the community forward.

This honor is made even more meaningful through the support of the university community, acknowledging hard work, influence, and commitment. The achievements inspire not only today, but will continue to shape the industry for years to come.

Dr. Ferdinand Bunag, Dean of the College of Engineering and Information Sciences, has been certified as a Professional Computer Engineer (PCpE) by the Institute of Computer Engineers of the Philippines (ICpEP), a recognized professional body in the computing and engineering sector.

The certification was granted following a formal evaluation completed in December 2025. The process assessed professional experience, technical competence, and adherence to established industry standards. The PCpE credential is awarded to practitioners who meet advanced requirements in the field of computer engineering.

With this certification, Dr. Bunag brings deeper technical grounding and current professional standards into his work with faculty and students. It supports the College’s efforts to keep instruction aligned with real-world practice and the demands of the engineering and technology professions.

Trinity University of Asia concluded 2025 with a strong record of academic distinction, institutional recognition, and faithful service. Across licensure outcomes, accreditation results, national honors, and global participation, the University affirmed its commitment to education guided by conscience and responsibility.

Licensure examination performance across several disciplines reflected the strength of Trinity University of Asia academic programs. Results from Medical Technology, Teacher Education, Psychology, Pharmacy, Radiologic Technology, Real Estate Appraisal, and Nursing demonstrated rigorous preparation and disciplined academic formation. In the November 2025 Philippine Nurse Licensure Examination, Trinity University of Asia ranked among the Top Performinɡ Nursing Schools nationwide, with three graduates placed among the top ranks. These outcomes affirmed the University’s sustained focus on quality instruction and ethical professional formation.

Graduate education also received national affirmation. The Master of Public Administration and Doctor of Public Administration programs earned Level II Re-Accreditation status from the Association of Christian Schools, Colleges, and Universities Accrediting Association, Inc. In addition, Trinity University of Asia received Institutional Re-Accreditation from ACSCU-ACI. This confirmed adherence to standards in governance, academic delivery, and institutional stewardship.

Academic development remained a priority through the establishment of the Office of Sustainable Partnerships and Lifelong Learninɡ. This office now oversees Trinity Open University of Asia (TOUA), the Trinity Innovation Hub (TRINNOH), and the Trinity International Lifelong Learning Academy (TILLA). These initiatives support access, innovation, and relevance across diverse learner communities and professional contexts.

The year also carried historical significance for the institution. Trinity University of Asia marked nineteen years of universityhood and sixty-two years of service in Philippine education. These milestones reflected a legacy shaped by faith-centered leadership, academic discipline, and service to society.

Global and national engagement further defined the University’s presence in 2025. Trinity University of Asia hosted the CUAC Triennial International Board MeetinÉ¡, which brought together academic leaders for dialogue on Christian education and shared responsibility. The University also successfully mounted the 10th Platinum Stallion National Media Awards. Since 2015, the Platinum Stallion National Media Awards has honored excellence across Philippine media. Awardees include networks like GMA and ABS-CBN, social media personalities, radio and television programs, documentary and feature films, advertising and PR campaigns, and educational media.ÌýOver the years, it has recognized media personalities like Vicky Morales, Atom Araullo, and Vice Ganda, toÌýname a few.

Commitment to quality received further recognition as Trinity University of Asia became a Corporate Member of the Philippine Society for Quality. Leadership excellence also came to the fore when University President Dr. Gisela De Asas Luna received recognition from the Private Education Assistance Committee for her outstanding service at the 2025 PhilEd Conference.

As 2025 closed, Trinity University of Asia stood rooted in faith and guided by purpose. In every program and partnership, the University remained faithful to its mission to educate minds, shape character, and serve the greater good.

Our University President, Dr. Gisela Luna was presented with a Plaque of Appreciation by the Private Education Assistance Committee (PEAC) for her contribution as part of the Steering Committee of the 2025 PhilEd Conference held on December 3–4, 2025 at the SMX Convention Center.

The conference gathered educators, researchers, and leaders from various institutions to confront the challenges facing Philippine education today. Discussions focused on grounding reforms in evidence, strengthening school systems, and finding practical ways to improve learning outcomes for Filipino students.

Through her involvement, Dr. Luna supported the work of guiding these conversations and helping shape a program that encourages honest reflection and actionable progress within the education sector.
